Yellow Spectral Warrior
The Waking Life (from Nick Cumbo)
Spectral Moon Day 8 - Red Planetary Moon Year - 9 May, 2003

I'm on the road which passes by my house, closer to my neighbours land. My 'dad' throws something up onto their land, and somehow I end up lucid. My 'dad' ends up helping me stay lucid, at which I am very surprised! I know that my dad wouldn't usually do such a thing. As we walk on in the direction of my house, I begin to question him. "You're not my dad, are you?" I say to him. He responds with a simple "no", but I know there is more to the story.

"Are you some kind of guide?", I ask presumptiously. He does indeed agree, and now I am even more interested, "So do guides often use the image of family members and friends?", I continue. He grins a little, speaking as though announcing a familiar metaphor, "It's like our number plate for identification". It's really quite cool, the image that pops into my mind, as he says this.

He's actually a really cool guy, and we continue walking along my road, though I do begin to lose lucidity, I decide a bit of meditation would not go astray. He seems happy enough for me to do this. Somehow, I end up in a completely different scene - he's still with me. It's like a set of buildings, and we spend quite alot of time here. At one point, this little buggy-like vehicle rolls up alongside us. It looks really cute, and is kinda red. I am suddenly reminded of a previous dream from the same night, with the same car. It seems it predicted this happening in my lucid dream! Freaky!

I decide to take a peek into the car, to see who's in there. I'm surprised to find my friend Gonzalo's 5-year-old sister sitting in the back seat. It's really funny - because it's as though the car represents her personality. I can see her mum in the car with her - looking about the same age! It's hard to speak to her, but I get the feeling there is some problem. I notice her throat looks as though it's all sore.

Anyway, we end up having to push the car through the building, in order to continue. I don't really wanna have to bother with this kind of thing, while I'm lucid, but decide to make it fun. After a lot of time spent doing curious things, I end up going into this cool cinema-like room. The screen is like a massive projection. It's really cool! I remember that we can decide what we wanna watch. The screen is so immersive! While I watch it, I actually feel like I am the movie itself.

I'm not sure what I watch the first time, but I begin to fade out. It was all so exciting though, that I can't bear to just leave the lucid dream. I do this strange entry back into the scene, swirling myself in all kinds of crazy colours. When I return, there's no longer a big projector screen however. It's been replaced by a whole set of little computer monitors. Well I can't deal with that. Where's the fun in looking at a screen the size of my face! There's even a huge bunk bed which has somehow managed to find it's way in front of the TV screen. So I begin to sing, "Oh, wonderful TV, grow so that I can watch you".

It works beautifully, the bed rolls back in the direction from whence it came, the TV growing to the huge projector size once again. Gee, am I happy! I decide I wanna watch some sexy type of movie, and it's really cool, cause as I think this, the main room lights dim, and these golden on-screen lights appear. There's even this romantic type music to go with it. The display changes to show this picturesque birds-eye-view of this island like city, with little villiages. In this small park, by a river, I can see a guy and a girl with dark hair. She's not anyone I know, but she does seem very pretty. It's as though I'm also experiencing and living out the emotions of the guy in the screen. If I chose, I feel I could enter the world itself.

Instead, I decide to go off to look for my guide again, finding him sitting on a couch, facing the opposite direction. I'm really interested in the differences between the world in which my guide lives and the world in which I live, but I can't think of a way of phrasing the question. I end up asking him, "what's the difference between this place and the waking life".

He thinks this is really funny! ~This is the waking life~ I feel him tell me telepathically.

I'm really happy about having such a good opportunity to ask a spiritual guide questions, so I decide to ask him his name. I'm wondering if perhaps he had a past life in human existence, and that I could find out about it. He ends up telling me his name is "Osgoode". He seems relaxed about it all, "It's somewhat uneternal, but"... continuing with a quaint explanation of what his name means to him. It's actually quite fascinating, though I wish I could remember it. After a series of encounters with people I know from day-to-day life, like Jesse, his little brother Mikey, and even his mum Janette, I end up waking.

Comments: This was such a cool dream. I'm really glad I had it. I love the bit about guides using the images of people I know, as number plates for identification. That was cool!

Following the terrorist attacks of 9/11 in the United States, a group of international dreamers gathered around the idea of dreaming the world toward peace.

Everyone dreams. In many cultures it is believed that the world is a creation of our dreams. These dreams are a bridge across which we can reach toward one another.
