Gandalf and the Ice Door (from Jay)

Gandalf and I are on an adventure. We need to go through a very large arched doorway, about four times the size of a person. The door has been compleatly walled over with ice and snow. Gandalf and I crawl up to the top of the arch and he says to me, "The way seems impassable".

I think it will take us forever to dig through all this ice.

A red wizard comes along and sees us. He arrogantly demands to know who we are and what we are doing. Gandalf explains that we are simple travellers and that we need to get through this doorway because we are on a treasure hunt.

The red wizard says, "Stand aside, peasants, and witness a real wizard in action!". With great effort he shoots many balls of fire at the door and finally the ice melts away.

The red wizard stands in the archway and laughs, "Now I will take the treasure for myself, fools!"

Gandalf waves his hand and the red wizard falls unconscious to the ground.

"Gandalf", I say, "Couldn't you have melted the ice on the door?"

"Why do what a fool will do for for you instead?" he says with a wry smile.

Well I am quite happy with this dream (Very Happy). I asked to meet a shaman guide before I went to sleep last night.

I was watching "Return of the King" last night so that may have something to do with it. I'd watch that movie everyday if Gandalf would show up in all my dreams!

"Why do what a fool will do for you?", is going to be one of those sayings I remember for my whole life now. There are always more intelligent ways to get around any obstacle. And even an arrogant fool can come in handy now and then

Following the terrorist attacks of 9/11 in the United States, a group of international dreamers gathered around the idea of dreaming the world toward peace.

Everyone dreams. In many cultures it is believed that the world is a creation of our dreams. These dreams are a bridge across which we can reach toward one another.
